Data Deletion Instructions
How to ask Jenz to delete the personal data we hold about you, including data from services you connected.
Last updated July 20, 2026This page explains how to ask Jenz AS ("Jenz," "we," "our," or "us") to delete personal data we hold about you, including data we obtained through services you connected to Jenz.
These are instructions, not a separate policy. Everything on this page restates commitments already made in our Privacy Policy, which remains the full statement of how we handle personal data. Where this page is shorter, the Privacy Policy governs.
1. How to Request Deletion
Under GDPR Article 17 you have the right to erasure, meaning you can request deletion of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten"). You may request early deletion of your personal data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.
To make a request: Email [email protected] with your name, email, and the specific request. We will respond within 30 days. We may request identity verification before processing sensitive requests.
It helps if you say which data you want deleted, for example your account, a specific connected integration, or everything we hold. If you are not sure what we hold, you can ask for a copy first under your right of access (Article 15).
2. If You Use Jenz Through Your Employer
If you interact with Jenz in a Slack workspace that your employer set up, your employer is the data controller for personal data processed through that workspace. Jenz processes that data as a data processor on their behalf, under a Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
Deletion requests relating to that data must be directed to your employer. We will assist them in fulfilling such requests per our DPA. For questions about your employer’s data practices, contact them directly.
3. Deleting Data Obtained Through Meta
If you connected a Meta service (Facebook or Instagram) to Jenz, you can request deletion of the data Jenz obtained through that connection using the same route as any other deletion request.
To request deletion of Meta data: Email [email protected], state that your request concerns your Meta connection, and include the name of the Meta account or ad account involved. We will respond within 30 days and may request identity verification first.
When you connect an integration, we access data from that service only as instructed by Users. Jenz does not store this data beyond the immediate task execution window unless you explicitly configure persistent storage. In most cases there is therefore little or no retained integration data to delete, and disconnecting the integration stops any further access.
You can also review and remove the apps connected to your Meta account from Meta’s own account settings. Removing Jenz there revokes our access going forward. To have data we already obtained deleted, send the email request above.
Data that remains inside Meta’s own services is not covered by this page or by our Privacy Policy. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies, which you should review separately.
4. What Gets Deleted and What We Keep
We honour deletion requests except where we are required to retain certain records. Our standard retention periods are:
| Category | Retention period |
|---|---|
| Account and Customer data | Duration of Subscription + 90 days, then deleted |
| Workspace Member interaction data | 90 days rolling, unless Customer configures longer retention |
| Billing records and invoices | 5 years (Norwegian Bookkeeping Act, bokføringsloven) |
| Security and access logs | 12 months |
| Support communications | 3 years |
| Anonymized usage analytics | Indefinitely (no personal data) |
This means billing records and invoices are kept for 5 years even after a deletion request, because Norwegian bookkeeping law requires it. Anonymized usage analytics contain no personal data and are not affected by a deletion request. Everything else is deleted on the schedule above, or earlier if you ask.
5. If You Are Not Satisfied
If you believe we have handled your request incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection supervisory authority. If you are located in another EEA country, you may also contact your local supervisory authority. We ask that you contact us first at [email protected] so we can address your concern directly.
6. Full Privacy Policy
This page covers deletion only. For the full picture of what we collect, why we process it, who we share it with, and every right you have, read the Privacy Policy.
